Yesterday night Thibaut and I went out for a photographic walk in the middle of the night. I've been passing this building far to many times when walking downtown and always wanted to take a shot of it. Until now, I haven't found the right light, the right moment or the right inspiration. Yesterday night was the right moment though. The special thing about this building is that it's located next to all the old beautiful university buildings of Cardiff, but is incredible ugly itself. Without that building, the university area would have been so much more beautiful... I'm not really sure if the shot works though. What do you think?

• The exposition time here is the wizard of the shot. After expose for a while the sensor in the night everything turns magic, different. Greeat shot.

• I think it works. I am a big fan of the strange yellow color that sodium vapor lights seem to impart on everythingthey shine upon. My guess is that there are some of these lights in the area which provided the minimal ambient light that created this long exposure, Hence the cool yellow color. But what is really cool here is the combo of the sodium vapor yellow, and interior flourescent aqua/green cast. Sorry for the lengthy comment, but I guess, in short, I think this is a very neat shot!
