We're back from the trip to Scotland, and it was a marvellous trip. I especially liked the accent up there...
Thursday: We took a short break in Worcester and visited the cathedral there. It was one of the most impressing cathedrals I've ever seen. After a short break in Lancaster we arrived in Edinburgh at nine in the evening.
Friday: Spent the whole day in Edinburgh. Visited the castle, tried some local whiskeys, rode a merry-go-round, went to the Museum of Modern Art et c. A great day...
Saturday: Went for a tour to Loch Lomond and walked some mountains there. It was a cloudy day (not especially surprising!), with some drizzling rain. Wonderful nature. In the evening we drove down to the Lake District, to a youth hostel close to Keswick.
Sunday: To our surprise we saw the sun shining from a clear blue sky when we woke up! During the light hours of the day we went for a long walking tour over the hills and mountains there, and in the evening we went south back to Cardiff. It was during that tour I captured this shot.
Somehow I got a bit sick during the trip, so today I'm tired and lacking in concentration.
