These are busy days at Cathays Terrace. Four of us are here now, only Vincent is missing. All of us are having lots of exams and papers to hand in, so these aren't the best days for producing nice shots...
Found an interesting link about [encryption technology](http://www.wired.com/news/politics/0,69841-0.html) today. Also learned the mathematics behind sharpening (and blurring) filters today. If you've got Photoshop, check Filters -> Other -> Custom and try the following 3x3 matrices: [1 1 1; 1 1 1; 1 1 1] with a scale of 9 or [0 -1 0; -1 5 -1; 0 -1 0] with a scale of 1. The matrices represent the weight by which the neighbouring pixels will create the new pixels. Nerdy? Quite, but even more so if you actually work out the Fourier transform of those matrices ;) However, it's things like that that I have to learn until Tuesday...
