I can't resist the beauty of the first spring flowers... Sorry.
Heard an interesting podcast the other day about a new theory which claims that the universe in fact is a black hole. I'm not sure I got it right, but when Subramanian Chandrasekhar originally did the calculations on black holes in the 1930s, he used the three space dimension. However, according to the podcast from New Scientist, when using more than three dimensions the properties of black holes changes quite abrubtly and opens the possibility of the universe in fact being a big black hole. Amazing, isn't it?
If you're interested in physics, I can recommend the book Quantum Electro Dynamics, The Strange Theory of Light and Matter by Richard P Feynman. There's not maths at all in the book, just and excellent overview about the theory of light and matter.
So, it's decided then? KC in France this summer?
